To spread awareness about the deadly disease which is spreading like wildfire among the most innocent families who are well educated and learned and yet unaware of the symptoms of this disease and treatment. NDRT is the first of its kind organisation where a lay person, being a Muslim lady and a non addict, along with the King of Rehabilitation centers in Bangalore Syed Saifulla Shah who has taken the initiative with a difference. The organisation was founded in the year 1999, later a twin center in the year 2007 in the name of Safe & serene Foundation with a vision of identifying the young generation who are plunging their lives into this dreadful disease of addiction.

It was first started with one such boy who was affected with his addiction to drugs and other related problems and has been successfully treated. Now we have dealt with nearly around 1,800 such cases in a period of 22 Years. The first four Years NDRT was working with projects like creating awareness in schools and colleges, villages, Police Department and lay people.

When we found the need of an in- house treatment center, we started a treatment center for such addicts on 19-Dec-2005. This was a bold step taken by Syed Saifulla Shah & Ruksana Hassan, the founder-directors of this twin organsations in order to contribute to make the society a better place to live.

Taking up self-less service as a challenge, with a missionary zeal, that touched thousands of youth under the banner of EMPOWER YOUTH OF INDIA with guidance of the DGP Jija Madhavan Hari Singh, IPS.

The twin organsations has also been assisting the local police in solving most of the problems of families affected on account of addiction. In that way, NDRT & SSF has been supplementing the efforts of the police in maintaining a trouble-free society.
